Have You Been Wearing Your Belt All Wrong?

Whether it's for yourself, or a gift for Dad - when it comes to picking the right belt...
Our minds go directly to picking the right color, quality, and style. What's often overlooked is picking the right size! Sure, you'll notice if the belt is too snug (especially after Thanksgiving) or to loose (pants keep falling down?), but there's a real science to making your Woven and Polo Belts look their best and last a lifetime.

To find the right size belt...
You'll want to measure your waist. While pants sizes can be a good place to start, 'vanity sizing' can make it difficult to get a precise read on your waist.

To get the most accurate size...
Start by measuring the circumference of your waist in inches where you normally wear your pants. Make sure the tape measure is level and snug, but not too tight. Once you have your waist measurement, voilà - there's your perfect belt size!

If you don't have a measuring tape, never fear. Just find your favorite pair of pants and check the waist size. You'll want to add 2-3 inches (to find an even number) to find the right belt for you.

Once you receive your La Matera belt...
It's important to try it on with your favorite pants to make sure the fit is perfect. The belt should be on the third hole, which will ensure the maximum amount of pattern and balance the amount of leather on each side of the buckle. Over time, the leather will become more supple and loosen up about an inch, leaving you with a perfect fitting belt to wear for years to come.

Make sure you're getting the most out of your belt - both in style and utility - by getting your size perfect!

Cheers amigo!
